So for a while, when alone, I'd occasionally find myself randomly saying "I'm a dog", which, like. I'm not β€” I'm πŸˆπŸ‰, though maybe not to a strong enough degree to count as (I'm not sure whether that'd be otherkin or therian or somewhere in between) β€” so, that's odd.

Turns out, it was because I would often say to my parents' cat, when alone, "You're a dog", because I thought it was a funny subversion of "You're a kitty"? That, and that cat does act in a relatively canine way, by cat standards. Plays fetch, very interested in people, also just fucking big.

But now that I live with a (different) cat again, it's back to the occasional "You're a dog", ahahaha.
