Speaking of that, once again going to reiterate that Rise, Naianasha (Cut the Cord) is really bloody powerful?
Like, yeah, sure, it's not the most innovative or groundbreaking song even on its own album, but it's just plain good, and it's also one of thoseβ¦ uncommon Coheed songs in a major key which isn't actually more on the grim side than anything, ahaha. (Because oh my god have they done a ton of "hey here's a really cheery, peppy song about dying in a fucking car crash or a rough breakup or murder orβ")
(Not that that's a problem β I'm totally into that kind of dissonance β but this is a bit different from their usual, kinda!)
