If you were at MFF, I'd strongly recommend that you test yourself for COVID as many days as possible over the next two weeks.

A COVID case can take up to two weeks to start after exposure, and MFF will probably have a remarkably large number of people coming home from it sick:

  • it was the weekend after Thanksgiving, which means a ton of transmission had just happened
  • cases were already high in Illinois generally
  • the convention centre it was held at has laughably bad ventilation (people had recorded 8500ppm of CO2 in the skybridge, for example, vs. a baseline of 450-ish!)
  • over 15,000 attendees

So yeah. Test yourself as much as you can. Hell, get a PCR later this week, if you can get one cheaply enough.
