To clarify, my previous post is somewhat hyperbolic.
People usually only end up being #fediblock targets after shitposting in #fediblock and then telling people who get mad at them to fuck off.
Which is still a wild overreaction. "posting jokes in #fediblock" just isn't a big enough problem in practice to add a ton of noise to the signal, let alone one that warrants a deterrent as substantial as "hey, instance admins, you might want to limit or suspend this user".
Users being bigots or constantly sealioning or other such behaviour does, butβ¦ β¦putting irrelevant content in a hashtag? No.
