Hey, you, who's reading this in the future: you can find out who I am today at https://rarf.zone/about/. π

It's even worse in the US; it's so depressing. Genuinely makes me feel disillusioned with society when the overwhelming majority of people don't seem to care at all.
You wanna know what really sucks about this?
The numbers starting to jump up around the older age brackets might suggest the younger age brackets' parents are impeding their ability to get the vaccine, whether by being unable to transport them to where they would get the vaccine or because the parents themselves don't believe the vaccine is necessary for one reason or another. (Disclaimer: I don't know if the vaccine is directly available within schools, although I really don't expect it to be.)
yeah i
just honestly have no hope for this situation or faith in people anymore
i just hide in my little burrow and hope i'll be okay once things settle out, if they do
It is really disappointing. The only bright side I take away from it is that at least there is very little evolutionary pressure for the virus to evolve to escape the current vaccine. :/
I have a petrifying fear of needles so I've just been double masking and trying to screw myself up to just go get the goddamn shot >_<
hate my brain
You might be able to get an oral or a nasal vaccine? I don't know how widely available they are...
I got my latest booster, but it wasn't easy. It always lays me out in bed for at least a day, so I have to take time off work for it. And trying to coordinate it so I'd also be on-hand to look after my little sister when she got hers, I ended up having to take multiple days off work, use my lunch breaks to shuttle folks around (including a couple coworkers who wanted vaccines but couldn't get them without a ride), and schedule everything out a month and a half in advance. I think a lot of people just weren't able to get it for logistics reasons.
