It's still… …interesting to me that "major coastal cities" in the US manage to turn much larger nominal incomes in lower income brackets than Vancouver into about the same purchasing power. Many of the necessities of life in those cities seem to be priced at the same numbers, just in USD$ instead of CAD$.
Like, "well-off" in the likes of Seattle means a heck of a lot more ability to purchase imported (or widely exported from the US) goods than up here, but when you're talking about people with more modest incomes, money just doesn't go as far down there, huh.
