God, wow, yeah, the first quarter of 2000 really was the most '90s period of time possible. Y2K had been overcome, the dot-com bubble hadn't burst yet, and history was even more Overβ„’ than it had ever been before or has ever been since.

Related, late '90s/early '00s media sets off a strange reaction in me, and it isn't nostalgia. Hm.

Oh, in my case, it's more, like,

"Oh. Yeah, these sure are things I remember from my childhood. I sure do remember this. From my childhood. That's sure something I remember. Hm."

But yeah, there's also that same "they haven't figured out that they've run off a cliff yet" feeling, mixed with some "this feels like throwing a rager in a cemetery" energy.
