obsessive, intrusive thoughts about this kind of scenario were like, extremely formative as a tween. I think i read the first few chapters of Remnants by Applegate and it scarred the hell out of me for good. Fucked that instead of growing out of those irrational thoughts, they're just getting more rational on a less catastrophic, more hollistic scale.

for me this has the same energy as when i listened to this song called "As The World Caves In" by Matt Maltese, where at first i'm like "oh, that's really sad but really nice," but then after sitting there for a minute and actually processing what i just took in, i instantly crumple like a sad wet sock. good shit 👍
