After a hectic Thanksgiving meal, my mother and I happened upon an unusual vehicle in the Tops parking lot. It appeared to be a sky blue Maserati convertible, but as wide as a semi-truck and tall as a double-decker bus. After closer inspection, we discovered it was a
— double-wide convertible on top of
— an old NFTA bus with
— a center console boat filling in the back of the bus
A card table included information: the vehicle was 13.5 years old and made appearances at the parking lot three times a week to “raise awareness” (of itself, I guess?) The owner/builder also had an entire page of single space type recounting how many times he was “ripped off” by mechanics. Another flyer joyously proclaimed that, for just under $1,700, you would be in line to inherit this monstrosity after the owner was finally killed by one of his myriad enemies.
