Can we teach kids applied mathematics through making games please? I've always needed like real world uses for maths to understand it but everything clicks in games because I have a purpose for it all! Like lerping and curves and trigonometry and pi and radians and all of that makes sense because I have a 3D space to explore and I can simulate the effects of differences in numbers and how they change things in real time!
I've always sucked at math but games makes it honestly so much easier because it's all there, I can visualise it all and I can remember it all from having to use it to get the intended effects I want, rather than just doing like 100 equations from a work book for no reason for every subject, my school really valued memorisation over understanding badly
