Here (UK) when I was growing up I think we called it 'paper scissors stone'.
i'm an Australian and can confirm hearing this in primary school. however, for some reason, the first primary school i went to did the Japanese method of "jan-ken-pon" despite the school not having any Japanese students at the time i was there.
