Now we must praise the Guardian of the kingdom of heaven,
the mighty Measurer and his mind-thoughts,
the work of the Glory-father, as he for each wonder,
eternal lord, ordained the beginning.
First he authored for the children of earth
heaven for a roof, holy composer.
Then middle-earth the Guardian of humankind,
eternal Lord, created after:
the earth for humans, Lord almighty.
