Every show since theatre has "come back" has had some sort of mishap. Now I'm covering a week of Cinderella due to covid knocking a musician out. I just covered the conductor book for Little Shop of Horrors. Before that, I got knocked out during Mamma Mia and had someone cover me. Then 21 members of the cast and crew got covid overnight and the closing performance was canceled. Before that Bruce lost three days of rehearsal and the final closing performance due to covid. Spitfire Grill lost two weeks of performances. Beauty and the Beast lost a week of rehearsals.
The best part is all you fucks coming to see the shows don't wear masks and y'all breathe your hot stinky breath into the pit with us and we have to live with it, passing around whatever germs you bring. Thanks for making our jobs just a little more dangerous.
