hive is an iOS only app so maybe it's for the best, they can quarantine themselves there. everyone who was going to try a new site did it already. this current first wave population are going to determine the health of these sites (masto/cohost) in the future. I went through this before with mastodon in like 2018. There was a wave of people leaving twitter for mastodon, but none of them stayed on the platform.
Please try to use these sites, at least mirror/crosspost to them. If all you do is make an account and telling everyone to move, but then only post on twitter isn't going to change anything. There were so many mastodon accounts I see that were made in the 2018 wave, had 1 or 2 "hi o_o" posts, then abandoned until this wave. please use them this time 🙇 please make and consume slop on different, smaller websites instead
