Someone told me that the subway station nearest me contains an Exciting Surprise and obviously the time delta between me learning this and me finding out for myself was <5 minutes. I want to set the scene here:
I'm cooking food in the kitchen and I look over and see @kojote getting her coat on, to go out in the cold (which she hates), with her coworkers talking in the background because she was in an ongoing meeting, and responding to my bemused expression with a chipper "I'll be right back"
five minutes later she comes back in, phone in hand, barely containing her excited giggling to show me this video on her phone because she could not wait for me to see it, at which point the following exchange happens:
me: ... oh my god that is so much beeping
@kojote: :DDDDDD
me: how did you know about this?? what made you go check?!
@kojote: a friend told me! :D
