I... did not leave my room much!
This year's MAGFest was a journey of discovery, in that I discovered what a mast cell flare up feels like. Sort of. My allergist's response to my Incident Report included phrases like "partly mast cell" and "neurological" and so my meatform continues to provide Exciting Mysteries for me to solve!
Other than that, it was nice to see more folks around the event this year. It wasn't too crowded, and I kind of wish MAGFest was always this size. I got to play several cool games in the Indie Showcase, including:
- a puzzle game that puts you in the Director seat for 80s B-movies
- a platformer-deckbuilder game with a claymation/Super Mario RPG aesthetic
- a platformer RPG whose writing I can only describe as "Disco-Elysium-esque"
- a word-solving game like Hangman or Wheel of Fortune, but where every answer is a horrible pun
- a visual novel about reviewing records for tax fraud (is it weird that I wanted the visual novel to go faster so I could look at the numbers...?)
I didn't get to do a lot of Photography but I took a handful of photos. I would like to direct you in particular to Captain Maryland, and in particular particular to Captain Maryland's toolbelt of Old Bay seasoning. Thank you and goodnight.
