I took 9,000 steps today and I am not currently praying for the sweet release of death so that's a good sign that I'm getting over Long COVID
I am incredibly relieved to finally be able to show these off: finished Avantasia concert photos from last August!
I perennially have trouble keeping up with processing photos, but this batch was extra tough. They were all taken with my phone and had the usual challenging lighting conditions that come with any concert. I have become spoiled rotten generally accustomed to working with my full-frame camera photos where I can crop photos with abandon and where most of the photos that are in focus look Nice™ with minimal effort. I do think the final photos look great, but they took a lot more work than normal and I had to make peace with some things that would normally put a photo on the proverbial cutting room floor.
In any case I hope you like these photos at least half as much as I enjoyed this concert. And hey, maybe next concert I'll remember to turn on the JPEG + RAW setting!
