so i decided to make a pumpkin pie without looking up how long it takes to make pumpkin pie. been working off an on for 2 hours on it and ill see you in another 5 for the taste test. 5am pie
this will hopefully turn into cinnamon rolls before my roommate wakes up
I made a pecan pie for the first time in a long while and sorta just winged it. As long as you can figure out a basic custard recipe I bet your pumpkin pie will come out great- mine was better than I remembered any other pecan pie being, but that might be because I added maple syrup and removed the corn syrup.
yeah the custard was fantastic. the crust was subpar but it didnt ruin it for me
this is basically my experience of pies generally and tbh if there's enough butter in the crust and it's at least cooked, that's enough for me
