wow! software!
In my infinite quest for making the most obscure niche projects possible, i ended up making supporting software for creating themes for the 10 year old novelty chat application pesterchum (yes the homestuck software) (which im still making my own client for)
Anyways the original is suuper themeable, letting you swap out or restyle most of the GUI, which is awesome!! Unfortunately you make these themes by writing a JSON file in the exact structure & with the exact keys it expects, which can be a bit of a painful experience doing by hand. so. thats why this exists.
This tool gives u a nice little GUI which tells you what should go where, provides specific blocks for most types like images or vectors, & color codes it all
The most WIP about it is that it has limited QSS¹ support, & i'd like to make it easier to arrange placeable parts without having to punch in a vector yourself. Also having a search bar would be pretty good.
In some future update i'll probably attach it to the theme repository (which i also set up because i guess this is what i do now) (it has its own web interface) so you can easily modify existing themes, in true pesterchum tradition
As always, this is made in the godot game engine because im a bozo and addicted to how good it is
¹ a subset of CSS that the QT gui framework uses for some of its styling
(edit 8 months later: seems i never included a link to the actual itch page lol. added now)
