everyone is right about what they will and have and are saying about Toriyama. its true. its all true. i would like to entreat you to consider what he did for little guys and weirdos in addition to everything else youre already thinking about or seeing. were it not for the wonderful monsters of dragon quest and their influence, i dont know what i or anyone’s work would be. if it werent for dragon quest monster sprites and the joy of playing around with them in rpg maker as a kid i don’t know that i would ever have found such an abiding love for rpgs and making games.
theres nothing i can say that isnt selfish. the only good thing i can say is that his work is and has been held in the hearts of so many for so long that there are few branches on the tree of human creativity more sturdy than that of Toriyama’s work. i do not need to ask you to not forget it, because i know you wont.
