every time I need to make an initial commit (more often than you might realize), I giggle to myself, type in 🎉 FIRST BLOOD 🎉 as the message, then say "teehee :3" and push.
i wish i had bookmarked that original post suggesting it. oh well.

total aside, every time i make a first commit, i make an empty commit with an empty message
mostly so if i change my mind and start a gh-pages branch, i don't have to do a commit that removes things, or has a different root
I totally get doing that tbqh
the whole gh-pages branch thing was such a huge PITA for ages. I'm glad we can just deploy via actions now, or just use the docs directory if its present.
