Finally, a wolf piece I can call my own!
I've done a lot of wood slice paintings and I always end up wanting to keep them, but I know I can't. So I decided for my birthday I would paint something I actually got to keep! 🙂
This piece was a celebration of the past 5 years of my life, and the closing of that major chapter. Part of what inspired this piece was the Harvest of Wands (from the Gentle Tarot deck)—a card that had been stalking me since the Summer Solstice.

And it blew my mind when I realised that, that September full moon was the Harvest Moon which occurred the day before my birthday! Synchronicities, y'all!!! 😱
I also drew that card AGAIN the morning of my birthday which really emphasised to me that I was "howling" in a new era of my life. 🐺🌾🌙
