Duke was transparently an homage to the likes of Bruce Campbell. In fact since he predates Johnny Bravo, it's likely the influence flows the other way from Duke to Johnny.
Yes! Duke Nukem is literally diet toxic masculinity and that's why he's great. Why don't people get that?
