There is a bit of historical context about Touch Pets Cats that I think needs to be noted.
Sometime when ngomco was first creating mobile games, they made a service known as PlusPlus which handles much of the social interactions.
This network would be used for many games, but seemingly superseded by mobage sometime in 2012 or so and eventually shut down on 2013-03-31.
