i don't know if this has ever happened to me before, but our zelda totk cart broke...?? it started giving us an error (don't remember which one) but it ended up being some kind of damaged cartridge. my only guess is some electrostatic discharge messed with it, since i swap it between my switch and my wife's switch whenever I want to play.

nintendo did cover it in warranty, but the process was kind of a pain.

• upload receipt of my original purchase
• provide my credit card up front just in case it's not in warranty
• they only charge it if it's found to be out of warranty
• something like 1 month to get it all done
