Game is good actually. It's funny, I was struggling HARD to control it with Joy cons, so then I switched to using an xbone controller with Magic-NS adapter, and then things went smoothly.

Some of the powers are very specific, like "interact with this one type of map feature", which kind of annoys me. But also the game has done some interesting things with the order of traversing areas in the world, which adds variety and surprise.

Boss fights have been fun so far. I haven't played a metroid game since the prime series, so this is a treat.

Also the emmi sections are downright scary, hoo boy.
