Pretty good. I gave it an 8. It's unusual in that it skirts around a lot of major plot and action and instead gives small snippets and vignettes adjacent to important things.

Like you see these wild monsters from a ages ago, but almost never the actual fight, only the aftermath.

I guess if I had to sum it up, it had incredible use of restraint.

Also I love me a good hunter exam

just started frieren tonight. i heard it's supposed to be good, and wow, it's rated #1 on myanimelist right now? first two eps were neat. a bit slow. reminded me of kino no tabi. i'll keep watching
