i dig this site but honestly it feels incredibly empty and dead without any indicator of engagement other than comments. Like I get that it's kinda The Point and I think internet number chasing has poisoned social media a lot, but I'd like to be able to see Likes or something at least. Not as a measurement for popularity but just to feel any kind of human user connection at all, because comments are the smallest and least frequent form of interaction on any site it just feels dead navigating the feed when you get like maybe 1 comment a week. idk, maybe I'm in the minority here.

You must log in to comment.

in reply to @kobold-factory's post:

I think the fact that the notification tab opens up separately and doesnt give an indicator of how many you've received before opening the tab it makes me feel less incentivized to do so, and I'm not on the site enough to like actually see any interaction flow

tbf i should probably try to comment on ppls art more, generally i dont really do it bc i never feel like i have a lot i can "meaningfully" say but i should try to engage with stuff a lil more actively than just hitting the heart icon and sometimes the two swirly arrows icon

like i think ive v much fallen into the sorta idle "scroll and engage" form of interacting online that corporate sites want ppl to fall into and i think i should try to unlearn that
