it is kind of flexible on that front - here's an example of me running a game for some characters i've written up! i have more to do in that story but ive been pretty waylaid by work lately
in general, the game is designed to be run however you like. you can have a gm and play it like traditional d&d, you can do collaborative storytelling where all players have a stake in the direction and difficulty, or you can use the game system as a writing tool like how i've been using it.
i think it's fun!
my next step is to start actually publishing "modules" of game settings that have prefabricated acquisitions and such that allow you to build characters in the system that function thematically appropriately for that setting.
i guess i need to put together a proper pdf of the rules too... but that's a bigger task ahaha
