you can disarm opponents in Jagged Alliance 2 by running towards them and using the "pick item up" interaction on them, but it's super super bugged and breaks the game all the time in weird ways and is really hard to pull off, chance-wise
sometimes you can get really good guns if you're very lucky though so i guess it's not totally useless, but it's pretty dang useless beyond the first like, 10 minutes of the game
