I've built an open source chatbot that does various interactive stuff over here and would love to work with you to build your own stuff if you have any ideas. I am happy to get paid to help you figure out how to hack my own chatbot even, if that's what you want my time for :]
I've never done this before, and obviously the scope of what you want can dramatically affect the pricing, but generally you can expect something like the following options:
- Intro to yipbot setup + coding: $60 / hr, you get me for a minimum of an hour to introduce you to yipbot, teach you how to set it up and customize it, and I can advise you on how to build things you want to do with it if you want to do it yourself. (Ask me about a friends & family discount if you think we're close enough!)
- Custom, private chatbot extension: initial consult will result in requirements gathering from me, and I'll come up with an estimate of work required, roughly be targeting $60/hr
- Custom, public chatbot extension: generally will be MUCH cheaper but the agreement is that it becomes a part of the open source yip bot, roughly will be targeting $30/hr
Some caveats:
- No direct game integrations at this time - if it's not something we can implement solely on a web page, it might not be a good fit. (I'd be willing to make an exception for Caves of Qud if I like the idea.)
- I am currently recovering from serious illness so please do not expect me to operate like a full time software engineer.
- I am not a very good artist, so if you need custom art and you are not happy with the graphics I bring to the table, either bring your own art, or make sure you budget for it!
