Good morning, fuzzies :3 Happy Friday!

I have nothing about words or computers or anything else today. Instead I will say that I hope you are doing well, and that you’ve had a good week and are able to have a good and relaxing weekend.

And also that I find horses vaguely terrifying, being large stompy monsters, but I cannot watch footage of Secretariat racing without getting choked up, every time. For example:

I think it may be a combination of watching something so history-making—one need not like horses to know that Secretariat’s Belmont Stakes performance is the greatest athletic feat in the history of the sport, almost certainly one of the greatest in the history of any sport—and enjoying the energy of a crowd, coming to understand just what exactly they are seeing happen.

The moment the cameraman also realizes it, and just... gives up trying to keep any of the other horses in frame, sends chills down my spine. It must’ve been incredible to have been there.
