I think the two main differences between furry coyotes and IRL coyotes is that:

  1. IRL coyotes are scrupulously monogamous under basically all conditions and interested in sex for like 2 weeks out of the year, full stop. Whereas, uh, not to cast aspersions but I feel like a… let’s say a “nontrivial” number of furry coyotes are enthusiastically slutty, and
  2. Furry coyotes are extremely happy about the existence of other coyotes, both furry and non-furry, and gleefully seek them out, whereas (as seen here) IRL coyotes invest a tremendous amount of time and effort into never seeing another coyote they are not actively dating or part of a nuclear* coyote family with.

And in these two regards I would say that furry coyotes probably have the edge, because I like seeing other coyotes and they all seem to be delightful animals :3

* I guess the third thing is IRL coyotes are generally less radioactive and/or own fewer Geiger counters.
