Good morning~ I hope that you’re staying warm? The temperature here dropped 50F in a few hours which was, uh… interesting! I had the idea of putting a can on the windowsill and cracking the window open a centimeter or so to use it as a refrigerator, and 30 minutes later the can was frozen.

So…

…So that didn’t really work. But it was a winter wonderland outside today, so if that’s your kind of thing I hope you enjoyed it :P

I have been tinkering and trying to get things… working-ish, kinda. No luck on the typewriter or on the clock, which seems like an extremely hateful contraption, but I did manage to adjust the truss rod in my guitar until it worked again. And I managed to resuscitate the old pair of David-Clark headphones I had at one point adapted to be a computer microphone.

There was an obnoxious 320Hz hum, but I guess that was coming from the power supply because improvising a new power source seems to have removed the hum. I still sound like I’ve been recorded on a Dictaphone, but that’s just the nature of aviation hardware having been designed during the Apollo Program and then forgotten about.

But anyway, that’s two projects successfully done (?)

On the other hand the last coughing fit was so bad I bit through my tongue.

I am not sure I like being sick? I don’t recommend this. Have some dogs instead.
