i would definitely say that one of the big things that keeps me using apple's stuff is that microsoft and google both go out of their way to do shit like this

Apple has been doing it more than their previous none, but at least it's almost all "did you know we have services" once a year and then leaves you alone
yeah, it's definitely not none and the new device setup stuff is especially bad for it. also bad is apple music ads
unfortunately linux is linux and has a load of usability and accessibility issues that probably will never be solved in its current incarnation
i feel like i could live with it full time but it definitely hasn't hit some crossover point for me yet
I guess I've somehow uninstalled or disabled enough stuff that I never get anything remotely like this in Windows
The closest Apple gets is constantly trying to sell you more iCloud space if you're down to, like 700mb
i've been fighting the urge to post, 'you know you can turn that off, right?' and i just lost the fight.
