Hi folks, my name is Kevin Veale. I'm a Senior Lecturer in Media Studies and fiction author.

I'm into a wide variety of popular culture stuff in lots of different media forms, some of which I write about academically. I reshare stuff that amuses me, post random thoughts or resources, and generally hang out.
I rather appreciate this in the context of seeing someone else (Razbuten, I believe?) retrospect on this game recently, as well. It's strange to me, because in a lot of ways, I think if the game's timing had been just a bit earlier, or... something, I might have also been caught up more in it. Bioshock the first did a bit of that for me, not in the sense that it sucked me into its philosophy, just in the sense that it seemed much deeper than... I think it actually deserved. By the time Infinite rolled around, the initial coverage of the game couldn't gather my interest enough to even end up buying it on sale at any point.
But in a completely unrelated note, that I have no idea why, I find that I just spent a good 200 beats reading through large chunks of your blog for the first time. Thanks for the impetus to do so? I think? It was an enjoyable experience I'm just confused as to why this was the thing that made me go through your archives.
