It's that no matter how much shit floods the net, there's still people in there. And there's still people, period, who need information. And that ain't changing. Which means there's still a real job to do: get them the fuckin It they need. That's my bread and butter, my morning cup of coffee. That's why we made the thing in the first place.
Somewhere along the way we got sold the idea that it's better to teach the machine how to sort information by itself and let it do all the thinking for us, but like, that was just wrong? And not why we made computer networks in the first place? We made them to help US store, organize, and disseminate information. And that silly little box you're looking at can still do that. You just gotta do it on purpose.
