A sample that was included in my lapsang order.
Notes
Very floral and pretty fruity, sweet, and surprisingly a bit of woodiness and...maybe vanilla? A little astringency.

Cultivar: Eight Immortals (Orchid) Aroma
Harvest: Spring 2022
Origin: Phoenix Mountain, Canton, China
Initiated with strong and potent orchid floral fragrance, smooth and full bodied, and it ends with floral honey sweetness. The cold brew also has a hint of grape fruit.
Eight Immortals, or in Chinese Ba Xian 八仙, is prestigiously ancient as a Phoenix Dan Cong cultivar and it nestles in the subtype under the aromatic category Orchid Aroma. Cultivated at an elevation of 1000 meters (which is high mountain for Phoenix Mountain), this Eight Immortals is from ancient trees around 200 years old. Most high quality Eight Immortals are at least from high altitude areas in Phoenix Mountain, if not from old trees. It’s one of the most venerable Dan Cong tea tree types and one of the oldest aromatic categories.
