Interesting. There's some surprising perceived acidity on the early steeps here. Strong sort of treacle-y sweetness. Smoke is very present but not too far ahead of everything else. Easy to oversteep due to the smaller leaf size. Later steeps more mineral emerges.

We proudly present you this aged smoked Lapsang Souchong tea from 2013. It has a chopped style that was popular for exportation back in 2013. It makes an interesting comparison to nowadays smoked Lapsang tea. It's also from our farmer Bei Bei Zhang's tea plantation located in Mu Su, which is the heart of the core production area Tong Mu Village in Wu Yi Mountain range.
