Across the street and down a few houses from our home, there used to be a large oak tree; this isn't uncommon - our street is essentially an oak forest atop a hill - but the tree for whatever reason was cut down long before we arrived; you can see the aged stump in the ground near the sidewalk where it once proudly reached to the skies at the bottom right of this photo: Snowy photo of the wood in the tree and the hill and stump of the tree it came from.

This however is not the only reminder of the beast; a piece of its branches got entangled in the power lines overhead and either during a storm or perhaps in the process of removing the tree itself, that piece broke off and got stuck.

We first noticed it when we moved in. Neither weather nor public works has removed it and it's become a fixture of going on a walk. I love it a lot. Please enjoy these photos of it over the last few seasons.

I want to name it but I'm not sure what. Any ideas?
