(i wish i had liked any build in anthem besides running around with the shield on the big guy and plowing goons over like bowling pins)

I reinstalled Anthem for a bit last month, when I had some spare cash for a PS+ subscription and MAN, there's stuff I want to like in it, but it gets in its own way so much. Requiring a subscription still hurts on console for a game that DEMANDS you be online, defaulting to multiplayer when I just want to poke around, the incredibly slow movement rate in the city, the "Hot and cold" seek missions, the ton of pointless gear that can't even really be turned into stuff of much use...

But shooting the guns and flying around still feel great!

anthem was a terrible sandwich with some great ingredients. still think about it sometimes, zooming around feeling like a space wizard. and that OST... oof.

I played through the whole story campaign just last month and enjoyed the time I spent. Will I think about Anthem again? Probably not, but it was cool enough being Iron Man with Magic Elemental Powers.

Another game ruined by GAAS. Like, you can see the origin of it in trying to take the so much better than it had any right to be ME3 multi and spin it into a whole story based co-op game, and then they got distracted by the Destiny money. So sad.
