I've said in the past that it would be cool if there was a site-wide "tag of the day", either curated or randomized, to encourage people to check out posts they might not otherwise have been aware of.
It would also be nice if there was just some place to see, like, the most commonly used tags, or, when searching, be able to tell the difference between a tag that gets used occasionally and one that literally only exists because of one shitpost that's not even publicily visible anymore.
This is kind of nontrivial because we are, collectively, very annoying when it comes to making tags that are jokes, or just unnecessarily ornate if you aren't aware of an existing pattern. (E.g., "the cohost local feed (place)" instead of just "place", where searching "place" in tags would not result in a suggestion for "the cohost local feed (place)")
