my favorite fact about spacecraft computer systems is that a lot of them are using a very similar SOC to the gamecube
the RAD750 is the most common CPU in exploration spacecraft, in everything from Mars Rovers Curiosity and Perseverance, to the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft on its way home from asteroid Bennu with samples in tow, to the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle that'll be taking astronauts back to the moon.
And it's built out of a PowerPC 750 chip, which was what, powermac g3 and nintendo gamecube, right
