part of what's great about Tearmoon's protagonist being a complete dumbass is this:
- sheltered rich people are in fact raised to be dumbasses
- the rest of us often point out with exasperation that all the rich have to do in order to not be hated is to shut up and do the barest possible minimum to be less evil
- Tearmoon is about "what if a rich person experienced the ultimate consequences of never doing the bare minimum and was able to learn from it, go back in time, and do the bare minimum"
We look at reality and say "rich people should mend their ways or else get guillotined" and Tearmoon says, "why not both, backwards?"
