Oh, nice, you can order DSS Sad Girl now.
Sad Girl™ – Heartbreak in the internet era. An ode to us, the generation who grew up pouring our souls on LiveJournal. Typing away while basking in the soft blue glow of CRT monitor. Right clicking on our crush to check their away message. Finally logging off at 3am.
Sad Girl looks nice and compared to Mintlodica's previous DSS release, First Light, the kitting for 40s and ortho users is much improved.
For those unfamiliar, DSS is manufactured by Signature Plastics, the same folks who make (the og) SA and DSA keycaps. It's a sculpted profile that's not as tall as SA is, and where SA has a very smooth, glossy finish, DSS has a coarse or pebbly texture (not in an unpleasant way). DSS is gaining popularity recently in custom keycap land because the queue time for it is not quite as bad as it is for GMK or SA.
One interesting departure is that unlike most DSS sets which use large centered legends, Sad Girl uses legends that are positioned in the upper left, more like GMK/Cherry style.
For comparison, here's my DSS After School 40s set:
