Like, when you're shopping for coffee, do you consider the varietal as a factor at all -- are there some you avoid or some you will always get when you can?
(So far I generally don't. Like, I feel like there's a mild positive correlation between pink bourbon and me enjoying the coffee, but not enough to make that a factor in choosing one coffee over the other. And while gesha coffees get a lot of hype, I've found more of them underwhelming than impressive (with some notable exceptions, like the last one I got from Flower Child), but that might be down to me not buying really expensive coffees. It may be that the way the gesha tax shakes out, if I'm still "only" spending as much on a bag as I would on any other nice coffee, I'm getting "worse" beans.)
