car question: if there's an issue of truck bed length competing with passenger space, why not make a double decker where the car part is short and then the entire roof is storage of roughly the same height as a truck bed
you would need a ramp to get stuff up there, but ramps are a technology that we have
would it just drive really bad because of weight distribution?
I imagine weight distribution might also be an issue if you did the next thing that comes to mind, which is put all the passenger seeting on one side and have a long but narrow bed on the other side
(note: I'm not saying these things should happen, I'm just wondering why they don't. all cars are cursed in my eyes)
