Often I find myself wishing I could get a slightly nicer espresso maker because they're cool, but then I remember that I mostly don't actually enjoy espresso in the first place.
(Also, no espresso maker is funnier than the one I have now)

The Nomad? It's hilarious. It's generally grouped with lever machines, but it's actually a hand pump, so in some ways it's more like a regular espresso machine than it is like an old-fashioned direct lever or spring lever.
Its main party tricks compared to other manual espresso makers are that it's easy to preheat due to the reservoir being plastic, and you can do extremely long ratios on it.
