I find myself really enjoying the Hario V60 coffee method, not just in drinking delicious coffee afterwards, but the manual process in making the coffee (ie. weighing the beans, measuring the water, timing the drawdown phase). Do you have activities/hobbies where you get a chance to enjoy the manual process of it, and maybe get something enjoyable out of it?

i got a couple questions about hobbies so i'm sorta collapsing those into this response.

i also love making coffee with my hario v60, so you got me there! i'll make a pour-over every morning for my wife and i, because it's a relaxing way to wake up, but i also just love the taste of coffee & go out of my way to get some really yummy dark roasts with varying flavor profiles. i've been getting the same ones for a bit because they're my faves, but i want to branch out a bit and try some other local roasts too.

i also really enjoy cooking when i've got the energy for it. it takes a lot of focus to multi-task to the degree that a lot of kitchen things require, but through practice and repetition i've gotten pretty confident in cooking ingredients to the kind of taste profiles i enjoy eating without really worrying about recipes (though i do love discovering new recipes to try out by watching various youtube channels)

otherwise, i'm a constant tinkerer, so i've always got one creative project in the works or another. i'm very good at starting long-form fiction & not finishing it, but using the material i've written to help inform other creative projects. always a process
