one of my favourite things about youtube these days is how everyone's completely stopped even pretending to follow those advertising and influencer rules that were brought in a few years back. you know the ones where sponsored videos need to be clear to the viewer before they click on them? because people should know when they're about to watch an advert?


like both these 2 videos are sponsored content, but unless you have the sponsorblock extension installed to make that little icon appear in the corner there's no indication of that on the thumbnail or video title. the first one doesn't even say it's sponsored until about a minute in. sick of being tricked into watching even 3 seconds of an advert.
